So, yes, even though I haven’t published any posts on here since the start of December, I’ve still been very busy drawing and painting. I’ve just posted 15 pictures that I did for people as Christmas/New Year gifts (apologies to the few overseas people who haven’t received theirs yet – but at least you won’t know which ones is yours until it arrives). There’s also a new blog design, which I hope you appreciate. Yes, it’s a bit of a Pinterest derivative (in fact, the theme is called ‘Pinboard’), but I thought it worked well for showing off the actual artwork and the infinite scroll, means you can see the main artworks on every post (do bear in mind that lots of posts contain more than one artwork, though) without searching about. You should also be able to share them on social media, if that’s your kind of thing (all shares very much appreciated, thank you). Apologies for disappearing for a month, but hopefully you’ll enjoy looking at what I’ve been doing. There are actually a few more pieces that I haven’t photographed yet, and something I’m working on, which you’ll have seen glimpses on over on Facebook, if you’re a Facebook friend. I may put them up over the next week or so.
Here are some black and white ink trees I drew recently. I have coloured them (I’ll put them in a separate post) and am selling the originals on Folksy (see link in the sidepanel to my Folksy shop). I’m also selling custom tree originals – so you can specify a type of tree, or shapes or colours you’d like included. (The latter is also available through Etsy – which is more a US site, though I can send them anywhere.) I’m planning to put more items up there and, if I sell anything I may order some quality prints or cards made, and sell them, too. I’m going to try out printing these black and white trees on some inkjet art paper, to see if that works well or not. If it does, I’ll sell them on both Etsy and Folksy.
