Ice Cream Birds: A series of digital bird pictures and patterns

This morning I thought I’d do another digital picture. I think, at the moment, mornings are for digital and evenings are for painting.

This one is a series of digital bird pictures, based on the first one (different backgrounds and some repeating patterns). I took the colours from the ‘Ice cream’ swatch in Illustrator CS6. All drawn using the pen tool (creating bezier curves by clicking and dragging). The legs were drawn as strokes, then set with rounded ends and thick stroke, and then converted to outline, so they could be filled like the rest.

And then I made the birds into a repeating pattern. There’s an extra pink bird in there, to fill a big bit of space.
